Build a wall trellis!

With our screw pins and wall brackets, you can easily build a wall-mounted trellis for all kinds of climbing plants.

When it comes to the shapes you can create, you are only limited by your imagination! Below you can see various suggestions, followed by installation instructions for two different versions.

Trellis with wall brackets

What you'll need:

  • 4 mm wire in any length
  • 2 or more wall brackets for each length of wire
  • 1 screw pin 9210 with M8 thread per wall bracket

Optional To make it easier to keep the wires taut and increase the strength of the trellis, the wires can be secured in the wall brackets with swageless terminals. In this case, you will also need the following:

  • 2 thread terminals (right-hand thread M6) for each length of wire
  • 2 threaded rods (right-hand thread M6) for each length of wire
  • 2 nuts (right-hand thread M6) for each length of wire
  1. Measure out and mark where the wall brackets are to be located.
  2. Fasten the screw pins first and then screw on the wall brackets.
  3. Attach the wire to one thread terminal or directly to the wall bracket. Secure the terminal in the top wall bracket using a nut. Do not screw on the nut all the way, but leave 5–10 mm.
  4. Follow the wire down and thread it through the remaining wall brackets. Do not clamp the wire yet.
  5. When you get down to the bottom bracket, determine the right length of wire and cut off. Clamp the wire in the second thread terminal and fasten the wall bracket with a nut, or attach the wire directly to the wall bracket.
  6. If you are using thread terminals: Tighten the wire by tightening the nuts on the top and bottom wall brackets.
  7. Finish by tightening the tensioning screws on the intermediate wall brackets.
  8. The trellis is now ready for your plants!

Trellis with cross-locks

What you'll need:

  • 4 mm wire in any length
  • 2 or more screw pins for cross-locks for each length of wire
  • 1 cross-lock per screw pin
  1. Measure out and mark where the wall brackets are to be located.
  2. Fasten the screw pins to the wall and screw the cross-locks onto them.
  3. Attach one end of the wire to one of the outer screw pins by screwing the tensioning screw into the cross-lock. If there are going to be two wires in the cross-lock, tighten them at the same time.
  4. Keep the wire taut while you are attaching it to the remaining cross-lock.
  5. The trellis is now ready for your plants!
